IAPA Honors Koch-Glitsch Canada For Safety Performance
A company that has not experienced a lost-time injury since 2002 has received its second health and safety award from the Industrial Accident Prevention Association (IAPA).
Koch-Glitsch Canada’s Uxbridge, ON, facility was presented with an IAPA Level II Health and Safety Achievement Award in February 2007. It received an IAPA Level I Health and Safety Achievement Award in May 2005.
The company designs and manufactures products for the chemical, petrochemical, refining, gas processing, pharmaceutical and specialty industries. The Level II award recognizes Koch-Glitsch Canada’s prevention methods, legislative compliance and management practices, including the manner in which hazards are assessed and controlled and a demonstrated commitment to, and knowledge of, health and safety.
“By using IAPA’s progressive awards program as an instrument to measure its own health and safety program, Koch-Glitsch is demonstrating a commitment to going above and beyond legal requirements to ensure the well-being of its staff,” says IAPA principal consultant Craig Fairclough.
Koch-Glitsch Canada President Bob DiFulgentiz, praised his employees’ dedication and commitment, adding, “Daily, this team works to create value for customers efficiently and in a safe manner. This award certainly affirms their leadership within this industry and Canada.”
